Stephanie Seneff, PhDis a senior research scientist at the MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She holds a BS in biology from MIT, as well as an MS and PhD in electrical engineering and computer science from MIT. She has published over 200 peer-reviewed papers in scientific journals and conference proceedings. Her recent interests focus on the roles of toxic chemicals and micronutrient deficiencies in health and disease, with a particular emphasis on the widely used herbicide Roundup and the mineral sulfur.
Her research has led to a compelling hypothesis: glyphosate (the active ingredient in Roundup) is a key factor in the autism epidemic and many other neurological and autoimmune diseases. Over the past few years, she has published more than thirty peer-reviewed journal articles on these topics and delivered numerous slide-based presentations around the world.
William Shaw, PhDis board-certified in clinical chemistry and toxicology by the American Board of Clinical Chemistry. Before founding The Great Plains Laboratory, Inc., Dr. Shaw worked at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Children’s Mercy Hospital, the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Medicine, and Smith Kline Laboratories. He is the author of Biological Treatments for Autism and PDD (first published in 1998) and Autism: Beyond the Basics (published in 2009), and is a frequent speaker at conferences worldwide.
Dr. Shaw is a stepfather to a child with autism and has helped thousands of patients and healthcare practitioners successfully improve the lives of people with autism, AD(H)D, Alzheimer’s disease, arthritis, bipolar disorder, chronic fatigue, depression, fibromyalgia, immune deficiency, multiple sclerosis, obsessive-compulsive disorder, Parkinson’s disease, seizure disorders, tic disorders, Tourette syndrome, and other severe conditions.
Mackay Rippey, LAcbecame interested in nitric oxide in the spring of 2017, during a high-stress month when he woke up unable to lift his right arm. He was diagnosed with Parsonage–Turner syndrome, most likely triggered by a Lyme disease episode. As he researched infection-mediated nerve injury, nitric oxide emerged as a central player, described as both a promoter and an attenuator of neuronal damage.
This paradox reminded Mackay of the often paradoxical and seemingly contradictory teachings in traditional Chinese medicine. He believes the ancient Chinese concept of dynamic balance helps conceptualize nitric oxide’s critical biological functions. After two and a half years and 1,146 papers, Mackay is ready to provide clinicians with a framework to understand and modulate nitric oxide in their practice.
During this process, Mackay learned about genomic nutrition while interviewing Bob Miller for his weekly Lyme disease podcast, Lyme Ninja Radio. That collaboration continued through additional interviews, and Bob invited Mackay to join the research team at the Nutrigenomic Institute.
Neil Nathan, MDHe has been in practice for 48 years and is board-certified by the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Academy of Pain Management. He is a founding board member of the American Board of Integrative Holistic Medicine and a founding member of ISEAI. For the past 26 years, his focus has been on understanding chronic illness and how to help patients recover. He is a nationally and internationally recognized speaker and the author of five books, most recently "Toxic: Heal Your Body from Mold Toxicity, Lyme Disease, Multiple Chemical Sensitivity, and Chronic Environmental Illness."
Jill Carnahan, MDShe completed her residency in Family Medicine at the University of Illinois Methodist Medical Center. In 2006, she was selected by her faculty as the Resident Teacher of the Year and was named one of the "40 Leaders Under 40" in Central Illinois. She received her medical degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago and holds a bachelor's degree in Bioengineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She maintained Board Certification in Family Medicine (ABFM) from 2006 to 2016 and Board Certification in Integrative Holistic Medicine (ABIHM) from 2015 to the present. Dr. Carnahan is also among the first 100+ medical practitioners to achieve Functional Medicine certification through The Institute for Functional Medicine (IFMCP). Following her residency, her vision for integrative medicine led to the establishment of the Methodist Center for Integrative Medicine in Peoria, Illinois, where she served as Medical Director for four years. In 2010, she founded Flatiron Functional Medicine in Boulder, Colorado, a highly popular clinic offering a wide range of services including medical and nutritional consultations, massage therapy, and more. Dr. Jill is a 17-year survivor of both breast cancer and Crohn's disease, and she is passionate about teaching patients how to "live well" and thrive despite complex chronic illness. She is also dedicated to educating other physicians on addressing the root causes of disease through functional medicine principles, rather than just treating symptoms. She is a prolific writer and speaker who loves to share her passion for health and healing with others!
Beth O'Harais a Functional Naturopathic Physician specializing in complex chronic illnesses related to Mast Cell Activation Syndrome and Histamine Intolerance, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue, Mold Toxicity, and Chemical Sensitivity. She is the founder and owner of Mast Cell 360, a functional naturopathic practice that looks at all the factors surrounding a health condition—genetic, epigenetic-biochemical, physiological, environmental, and emotional.
She founded Mast Cell 360 out of a desire for the kind of practice she wished existed when she was severely ill with Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, Histamine Intolerance, Lyme Disease, Mold Toxicity, Fibromyalgia, and Chronic Fatigue. After seeing over 50 practitioners without finding the answers to the root causes of her health issues, she realized she had to find the answers herself. She subsequently became a functional medicine practitioner and developed her Mast Cell 360 Root Cause Method. Today, she has recovered significantly and has regained her health and control over her life. Her mission now is to be a beacon of light for others on their healing journey with Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, Histamine Intolerance, and related conditions.
Through her Mast Cell 360 Root Cause Method, she identifies the unique root cause factors affecting each client's health issues and creates a personalized, effective roadmap for healing. She holds a Doctorate in Functional Naturopathy, a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy, and a Bachelor's in Physiological Psychology, and is certified in Functional Genomic Analysis, serving as a Research Consultant for the NutriGenetic Research Institute. She speaks at Functional Medicine conferences on Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, Histamine Intolerance, and using genetics and biochemistry to address chronic illness.
